Youhan Aria, corporate communication head at Archies said, "We toyed with the idea for two or three years but unfortunately the law criminalising gays and lesbians stopped us. With the high court order as well as the rising social acceptance of the lesbian and gay community in the country, we felt that the time was just right to launch the cards. "<br />
<br />
The response for these cards launched by Archies has been positive. These greeting cards carry simple designs with messages like "Oh My How Totully Gay!" or "For my boyfriend — from your boyfriend" and its variation "For my girlfriend - from your girlfriend".<br />

Meenal, who had browsed for a card for her partner said, "Every year I would sift through cards to choose the appropriate one for my girlfriend All the cards would be for a boy writing about his girlfriend which failed to capture the emotions that I felt for my partner. So it was a pleasant surprise this year when my shopping for a card took just two minutes."</p>
