The Advantages of Cash Parking

What Exactly is Cash Parking?

Cash parking involves parking the domains that are registered to you but which are not being used by you at the present time. Basically, cash parking involves displaying a temporary Web page that shows up when somebody types in the name of your domain into their Web browser. There is a little more to it than that, however. You can actually earn money from cash parking as the advertising associated with your domain name is contextual, meaning that there is a semantic link between the kinds of advertisements being shown and the name of your domain. When a visitor clicks onto one of those advertisements associated with your domain, you will get paid revenue in accordance with the contract you agreed with the parking company you lodged your domain with.
Setting up Cash Parking

Cash parking certainly saves you having to pay a hosting provider and, if you have a domain name registered to you that you are not using, this may work out to be your best option. In fact, all you have to do is to make your domain name available for cash parking – the parking company does the rest: they put graphics and links on your page for you. Nobody is pretending that you are going to make a lot of money from cash parking, but if you don't have the time to develop your domain or you have a domain name or two registered to you but are not ready to do anything with them at present, cash parking offers you with another alternative.
Monetizing Your Site

Don't get me wrong – there are many Domainers out there who have thousands of registered domains, each of which is bringing in a tiny revenue which, when added all together, the total brings in a very respectable income to the Domainers. When you are new to cash parking there are all sorts of things you need to know – the terminology associated with cash parking, for one thing. We all know the domain name refers to the name your website will be called. Having registered your domain name and decided to park it, however, you also need to decide whether to monetize your cash parking and, if so, to what extent.
Revenue

The more serious Domainers don't rely on just one or two domains for bringing an adequate level of revenue in: they generally have hundreds, if not thousands, of domains. Cash parking revenue can be obtained through pop-under advertisements, and through visitors clicking on advertisements displayed on your domains. Visitors who fail to click on those advertisements are still recorded as impressions: the number of impressions can also be identified on a geographical basis as per the number of US visitors, or the number of GB visitors etc. Each time one of your visitors clicked on an advertisement you, as the domain owner, will get paid per click. This is, of course, important to the domain owner as the cost per click [CPC] is paid at different rates depending on the cash parking company being used.
